John H. Ogden, of Counsel to Falcon & Singer P.C., is a highly experienced, practical corporate attorney and litigator who applies the skills acquired in his career as a business and legal executive in multinational companies to the needs of small and mid-size companies. Based on 25+ years as a businessperson and an attorney, John Ogden understands and meets the need for a successful business to know what should be done and do it faster, better and cheaper than the competition.

As general counsel, John ensured that the company received proactive cost –efficient legal services either in-house or through retained law firms. He is a recognized expert in optimizing delivery of legal services to small and mid-size organizations. He has participated in the resolution of the full range of corporate and commercial matters including drafting, reviewing and negotiating complex commercial agreements and corporate transactions. He is expert at resolving disputes through negotiation, mediation and litigation.

In addition to corporate law and litigation, John focuses on related trusts and estates matters and is expanding that practice to include planning for the protection of those with special needs. At Falcon & Singer, he is building a special needs focused litigation practice. While General Counsel John was responsible for all litigation which he managed through others or, in an approach which is somewhat unusual for in-house counsel, by trying cases, including an appeal, himself. Whenever possible he resolved such matters through Alternative Dispute Resolution practices, primarily using various forms of mediation.

John also has an extensive background, pro bono and compensated, with trade associations and other nonprofits as both counsel and board member. He lectures and writes about business law subjects.
